Patrick served as a senior policy advisor in the Premier’s office from 1989-1990. He subsequently led a number of national, charitable and philanthropic organizations including the Canadian Council on Social Development, the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy (now ImagineCanada) and the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation. He was appointed as a member of the Order of Canada in 2014.
